Hex Bolt Grade 8: A headed and externally threaded mechanical device, designed for insertion through holes in assembled parts, to mate with an internally threaded part, such as a nut. The GRADE 8 BOLT is made of either a Boron Steel or a High Strength Steel which is quenched and tempered for greater strength and is easily identifiable by its yellow (goldish) color plating and head markings of 6 marks.
